Service(s) Provided:
Merger and Acquisition Integration
Situation:
The Client is a developer of software and information technology services intended for state and local government, utility, and special district customers. The Client’s services encompass a suite of municipal land management, asset management, and utility billing software products, as well as services such as agricultural operations management, business analysis, strategic recommendations, implementations, and support services; thereby enabling access to customized products in line with client requirements. The Client completed a merger in December 2024 and requested Vector’s assistance to support pre-close integration planning and post-close integration management.
Vector’s Approach:
Vector provided merger integration support, including establishing merger integration governance and facilitated integration planning and execution activities. Vector established a structured M&A integration process and facilitated the development of integration plans and procedures that help guide a successful integration. Additionally, Vector provided Integration Management Office (“IMO”) leadership and support, as well as fundamental project management, facilitation, and execution support, as requested for the target.
Results:
Over a five-month engagement, Vector Advisory established merger integration governance and led structured planning and execution to support a successful integration. The Client achieved 90% completion of integration tasks within the first 90 days while maintaining zero voluntary employee turnover across critical roles during the integration period. The integration framework provided clear transparency and coordination between the portfolio company and private equity sponsor, enabling aligned decision-making, consistent progress tracking, and timely issue resolution, while also creating a repeatable M&A integration playbook that positions the organization to execute future acquisitions more efficiently and with reduced risk.
