Brett has over 20 years experience working in various finance, accounting and business consulting roles. His expertise includes leading finance and accounting functions, interpreting and implementing accounting guidance, leading Merger & Acquisition (“M&A”) activity, board reporting, and optimizing finance and accounting systems and processes.
Brett’s experience spans multiple Tier 1 accounting firms, including Deloitte and Grant Thornton as well as serving in leadership roles in at multiple middle market, privately held businesses as well as national consulting firms. Brett has worked across multiple industries, including Technology, Pharma, SaaS, Construction, and many others, with both domestic and multi-national businesses.
Brett has successfully supported the accounting for M&A, recording opening balance sheets, accounting for purchase price allocations, valuations, etc. Brett has also led CFO roles in which he was responsible for due diligence, providing leadership and oversight for finance and accounting integrations, ensuring all post-closing accounting deliverables were executed in accordance with purchase agreements, enhancing percentage of completion accounting practices, and implementing best practices for financial reporting processes and systems, including ERP selection and implementation.
Brett’s background includes working with enterprise, middle-market and startup companies across multiple industries – public companies, privately held and sponsor-backed (Private Equity).
Brett has a Bachelors degree in Accounting from Syracuse University and is a licensed CPA in the state of Massachusetts.
