Sean Dooley

Managing Director, Consulting Services

Sean leads Vector’s CFO Advisory practice, overseeing a team of finance operators that delivers fractional leadership, finance transformation, and PE value creation engagements to private equity portfolio companies, family office holdings, and growth-stage businesses. With over 15 years of finance leadership experience, he serves as a trusted advisor to PE sponsors and their portfolio company executives, from acquisition diligence through post-close integration and long-term value creation.

Since joining Vector, Sean has partnered with sponsors including Blackstone, H.I.G. Capital, CapitalSpring, Pacific Avenue, ICV Partners, and Summit Park across engagements spanning professional services, energy, telecom, healthcare, transportation, housing, manufacturing, distribution, automotive, construction, environmental services, and consumer franchise operations. His work regularly includes serving as Fractional CFO, Interim FP&A Director, and Fractional Chief of Staff to CEOs, where he rebuilds finance functions, automates board and sponsor reporting, and stands up KPI frameworks that deliver PE-grade visibility within the first 90 days. Sean has also been selected by PE sponsors to lead financial literacy training for portfolio company CEOs, teaching the financial levers that drive EBITDA growth, sponsor-grade reporting, and exit multiple expansion.

Before Vector, Sean served as Vice President of Finance at Directive Consulting, where he built and led the finance, accounting, treasury, and corporate development functions, scaled the company across five international entities on NetSuite, and secured debt financing with no equity dilution. Prior to that, he was the first finance hire at StackPath, a SaaS secure edge platform, where he built the finance function from the ground up, supported revenue growth from zero to approximately $250 million, and played a lead role in a $210 million product line divestiture and a $165 million Series B funding round. He began his career in the Finance Rotation Program at Raytheon and later held finance leadership roles at Altair Global, Legacy Measurement Solutions, and Shutterfly.

Sean holds Bachelor of Business Administration degrees in both Finance and Marketing from Texas A&M University’s Mays Business School. He is based in Dallas, Texas.
